This Privacy Policy describes how HockeyApps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information within the HockeyApps mobile applications and web applications (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
The App is designed to operate without requiring users to create accounts or provide personal information directly to HockeyApps.
We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as player names, photos, emails, or identifying details to This Privacy Policy explains how HockeyApps handles information when you use hockeyapps.com, contact us, or use these iPhone and iPad apps:
- Hockey Lineup Manager
- Youth Soccer Lineup Rotation
- HVAC Startup Checklist
- HVAC Service Manager
- HVAC Supply Near Me
The apps have different purposes and data practices. Only Hockey Lineup Manager uses the Meta SDK for analytics and advertising measurement. The website uses Google services, as described below.
Questions about this policy can be sent to coach@hockeyapps.com.
1. Information you enter in the apps
The information involved depends on which app and features you use. Hockey Lineup Manager, Youth Soccer Lineup Rotation, HVAC Startup Checklist, and HVAC Service Manager let you work with locally stored records without creating a HockeyApps account. HVAC Supply Near Me is listed separately below because its search and location processing requires its own disclosure.
| App | Examples of information you choose to enter or import |
|---|---|
| Hockey Lineup Manager | Team and player names, jersey numbers, rosters, lineups, practice plans, diagrams, statistics, notes, logos, photos, videos, and reference links. |
| Youth Soccer Lineup Rotation | Team and player names, rosters, lineups, substitution plans, playing-time records, and coaching notes. |
| HVAC Startup Checklist | Company and customer details, job and equipment information, readings, checklist responses, notes, site photos, and customer or technician signatures. |
| HVAC Service Manager | Customer contact details and service addresses, calls, schedules, technician information, parts, vendors, quotes, contracts, notes, images, and imported customer records. |
| HVAC Supply Near Me | Supplier-search information and, if supported and used, an entered address or ZIP code or device location used to find nearby suppliers. |
The records in the first four rows are not automatically uploaded to a HockeyApps database as part of their normal local storage workflow. Local storage of these records is separate from the analytics and advertising measurement used in Hockey Lineup Manager. This local-storage description does not apply to HVAC Supply Near Me’s search or location processing without further verification.
Only enter or import information you are authorized to use. This is especially important for information about children, customers, employees, and other people.
2. Device storage, backups, and sharing
For the four recordkeeping apps listed in Section 1, app records remain in the app’s storage on your device unless you choose a feature that exports, shares, or otherwise transfers them, or your device’s backup settings include them in a backup. This description does not establish how HVAC Supply Near Me processes searches or location information.
Depending on your settings, Apple or another backup provider may store copies of app data. Those copies are governed by that provider’s services and privacy terms. A device backup is different from a HockeyApps account or a shared HockeyApps database.
When you export a PDF, image, CSV, or another file, or use a device sharing option, the destination you select determines who receives it and where it is stored. Email services, cloud drives, messaging apps, printers, and other recipients handle that information under their own policies. Sharing an exported document does not by itself create live collaboration between app users.
If you send an export, screenshot, or record to HockeyApps for support, we receive the information you include. Remove information that is unnecessary for the support request before sending it.
3. Hockey Lineup Manager: Meta analytics and advertising measurement
Hockey Lineup Manager uses the Meta SDK to measure app installations, app interactions, and the effectiveness of HockeyApps marketing.
Depending on the SDK configuration and your permissions, Meta may receive device identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version information, installation events, product-interaction events, and advertising-related data. Apple’s advertising identifier is available for tracking only when the required permission has been granted. Device identifiers are not the same as a name, but they can still be personal information.
Meta processes information it receives under its own terms and Privacy Policy. This SDK disclosure concerns usage and measurement information; it does not mean your locally stored rosters, diagrams, or other app records are automatically uploaded to Meta.
Where iOS presents an App Tracking Transparency request, you can allow tracking or ask the app not to track. You can review permissions under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining tracking limits tracking activity; it does not necessarily prevent every form of non-tracking analytics or technical communication.
The Meta SDK described in this section is used only in Hockey Lineup Manager. Youth Soccer Lineup Rotation, HVAC Startup Checklist, and HVAC Service Manager do not use it. Their current App Store privacy disclosures state that data is not collected by the apps. Information you voluntarily email to us or send to a service you choose is handled separately as explained in this policy.
4. Photos, camera, and device permissions
Features that use your camera, photo library, or other protected device resources may ask for permission when needed. You can review or revoke permissions in your device settings. Restricting access may limit the feature that needs it.
Photos, videos, and signatures you add to local app records are handled as part of those records. If you export or share a document containing them, they are included in the shared copy. Opening an external video or reference link may connect you to the linked provider, which handles information under its own policy.
5. App Store purchases and subscriptions
Apple handles App Store purchases, subscriptions, billing, and payment processing. HockeyApps does not receive your full payment-card details from Apple. An app may use purchase and subscription information to determine which features you can access or to restore a purchase.
Manage subscriptions through your Apple account. Deleting an app does not cancel its subscription. Apple’s processing of account, purchase, and payment information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
6. Website information and Google services
Visiting hockeyapps.com is separate from using locally stored app records. The website and its hosting services process technical information needed to deliver pages and operate the site, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and access times. This information can also help identify errors and abuse.
The website uses a Google tag for website measurement. Google services may receive information about pages you visit, interactions, referring pages, browser and device details, IP addresses, and cookie or similar identifiers. The information received and its use depend on the Google services enabled, their configuration, and your privacy settings and choices. Google may set or read cookies where permitted by those settings and applicable requirements.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can review Google’s advertising controls at My Ad Center and manage cookies through your browser. Turning off personalized ads does not necessarily stop all website measurement.
WordPress may also use cookies for functions such as signing in or remembering comment details if you choose that option. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions. Browser cookie settings do not change the permissions you give an iPhone or iPad app.
The website does not use the Meta Pixel. The Meta SDK disclosure above applies to Hockey Lineup Manager.
7. Comments and support messages
If comments are enabled and you submit one, the website receives the information you enter, such as your display name, email address, website address, and comment. Technical information, including your IP address and browser details, may accompany the submission for site operation and spam prevention. Approved comments and their display names may be public; your submitted email address is not intended to be published with the comment.
If you contact HockeyApps, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you provide. We use this information to respond, investigate issues, and maintain relevant support records. Website hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver these services.
Do not include payment-card details, passwords, or unnecessary player, customer, or employee records in a public comment or support request.
8. Retention and deletion
You control the app records stored on your device. Use available in-app deletion controls to remove records. Deleting an app normally removes its local app data, but offloading an app may retain that data. Exported files, messages, and device backups can remain after local records are deleted and must be managed separately with the relevant service or recipient.
HockeyApps cannot remotely retrieve or delete app records that exist only on your device. We also cannot delete copies held by people or services you have chosen to share them with.
Support messages, website comments, and operational records are retained according to the purpose for which they were received, including responding to requests, resolving issues, maintaining site security, and meeting applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention by Apple, Meta, Google, backup providers, or other services is governed by their own policies and available controls.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by HockeyApps, email coach@hockeyapps.com. Identify the app or website interaction involved. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where applicable law permits or requires it. Rights and available remedies depend on where you live and the circumstances of the request.
9. Children and information about players
The coaching apps are intended to help coaches, parents, and team organizers manage teams. A coach entering a child’s name in a local roster is different from the child providing information directly to HockeyApps.
Adults using the apps should have appropriate authority to handle player information and should limit what they enter or share. Avoid including unnecessary personal details about children in exports, public comments, or support messages. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to HockeyApps, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.
10. Security and external services
No device, website, email system, or method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and accounts, use appropriate access controls, and review exports before sending them to others.
Links to the App Store, social networks, videos, and other external services take you to services with their own privacy practices. Following HockeyApps on a social network or interacting with its content is subject to that network’s terms and privacy policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the apps, website, or data practices change. The latest version will appear at hockeyapps.com/privacy-policy/ with an updated date. Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided.
12. Contact
